Careers at Evolv IT
Sales Representative, Birmingham
Birmingham, Alabama
Grow our home market. You will find, advise, and close healthcare practices, financial firms, and professional services organizations across Central Alabama, selling alongside the leadership that built the standard, from the Birmingham headquarters where it is set.
The Role
Own work that matters
This is a full-cycle sales role for someone who can create opportunity, run a disciplined discovery process, and earn the trust of leaders in compliance-driven organizations across Central Alabama.
What You Will Own
Responsibilities
The work
- Build and manage a qualified pipeline through consistent outbound prospecting and local relationship development.
- Lead discovery conversations that uncover operational risk, business priorities, and the real cost of weak IT.
- Translate Evolv IT's managed IT, cybersecurity, compliance, AI, and connectivity capabilities into clear business outcomes.
- Own opportunities from first conversation through proposal, follow-up, and close.
- Keep CRM records, next steps, forecasts, and activity reporting accurate and current.
- Represent Evolv IT professionally in the Birmingham business community.
What you bring
- Demonstrated ability to prospect, run discovery, and move business-to-business opportunities forward.
- Clear written and verbal communication with owners, executives, and operational leaders.
- Comfort learning technical services well enough to explain value without hiding behind jargon.
- A disciplined approach to pipeline management, follow-up, and measurable activity.
- Experience selling managed services, technology, cybersecurity, telecom, or another consultative service is helpful but not required.
What success looks like
- A healthy pipeline built from consistent, documented activity.
- Discovery calls that identify business impact, urgency, authority, and a clear next step.
- Accurate forecasts and CRM records that leadership can trust.
- New client relationships that fit Evolv IT's standards and specialty markets.
What You Get
A clear plan, a real system, and room to earn
The compensation is written down and the ceiling is open.
Competitive base salary plus uncapped commission. On-target earnings for a ramped rep typically run $110,000 to $125,000, and the ladder is built so sustained top performers clear $180,000. Every rule of the plan lives in a written standard you will sign, so there is zero ambiguity about how you get paid.
A real system, not vibes.
A documented sales system covering qualification, discovery, and call control, a maintained CRM, a paid-assessment motion that opens doors, and a Sales Engineer who supports your larger deals at no cost to your commission.
Coaching that is actually scheduled.
A weekly 1:1 with your Director of Sales built on your real pipeline and recorded calls, plus a structured first 90 days so the ramp is a plan, not a hope.
The standard works both ways.
W-2 with benefits, and the test we hold ourselves to: every person we hire leaves better than they arrived.
The Standard
How we work
Our Non-Negotiables are how we hire, review, and promote. The ones that matter most in this role are discipline, extreme ownership, continuous learning, high standards, and a relentless pursuit of excellence.
Own the outcome
If it touched your hands, the next action and the quality of the result are yours.
Document the work
Good work becomes repeatable when the next person can understand what happened and why.
Keep raising the standard
We expect feedback, learning, and measurable improvement rather than comfortable repetition.
How We Hire
A straight, respectful process
1
Apply with your resume and a short note about the Non-Negotiable that resonates most.
2
Have a direct conversation with the hiring manager.
3
Complete a practical exercise that resembles the real job.
4
Receive a clear decision and, when it is a fit, an offer with defined expectations.
